Christopher Waters
Partner Christopher practised initially in London and since 1995 in the Midlands. In 1998, together with two colleagues, he established Mortimers. Christopher now specialises in Employment Law and related areas. He has been a member of the Employment Law Association for many years. Christopher acts for both employers and employees and he conducts cases including Unfair and Wrongful Dismissal, Redundancy exercises, Sexual, Racial or Disability based Discrimination, Working Time Regulations, and the TUPE legislation. Karen Brake

Bryony Walker
Partner Bryony has over 25 years of experience as a solicitor in the areas of Family and Education Law. She is accredited as a Specialist Family Lawyer by Resolution and is a member of the SRA's Family Law Accreditation Scheme. Bryony specialises in divorce, separation and children disputes, dealing sympathetically with complex and difficult family relationships. She has a wealth of experience in complex financial cases, especially those involving high net worth assets, pension sharing and family businesses, offering clients high quality tailored advice. Bryony is one of the few solicitors in the country to specialise in the area of Education Law. She also supports parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities through her voluntary work with charities both at a local and national level. Rebecca Lively
Partner Rebecca qualified in December 1997. She worked for some years in Private Practice in London, before spending 15 months in Australia practising in Queensland. Rebecca joined Mortimers in August 2003 and she now practises exclusively in the area of Family Law. She is a member of Resolution. and acts for both private and publicly funded clients. Kathryn Price
Kathryn qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and has specialised in family law since then. She has experience of acting for both private and publically funded clients in divorce proceedings, and in the resolution of financial matters following divorce or separation. Jackie Meredith
Jackie joined us after spending many years working at a Telford-based practice. She specialises in all aspects of Family Law on both private and publically funded (Legal Aid) bases. Areas of particular expertise include matrimonial issues, childcare matters and domestic abuse, and is a member of several accredited panels across the Family Law spectrum such as Children Panel, Advanced Family Law Panel (Children and Domestic Abuse) and Specialist Accreditation Resolution (Children and Domestic Abuse). Ann Vowles
Ann studied law at Exeter University and went to Chester Law School. She did her articles in Hereford and qualified in October 1994. Initially dealing with personal injury work and Family Law, she has specialised in Family Law since 1997. Ann is accredited as a Family Law practitioner by the SRA and also as a Specialist Family Lawyer by Resolution, specialising in Advanced Financial Provision and Children Law. Helen Kelly
Helen qualified as a solicitor in 1993. She joined Mortimers in 2008 having worked in East Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and Worcester. She has practised in family law throughout her career and has particularly specialised in children matters both public and private including adoption with an international element. She also deals with the financial aspects of divorce and separation and domestic violence. She is a member of the SRA's Children Panel authorised to represent children and adults in public law proceedings as well as being a trained mediator, a member of the SRA's Family Law Panel and Resolution. Jane Alderson
Jane has been involved in property law ever since she left school. She qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and immediately afterwards joined Mortimers as one of its first members of staff having previously worked as a legal executive at a large Birmingham practice. Jane has returned to join the conveyancing department at Mortimers where she specialises in all aspects of the buying and selling of residential property. Chris Mills
Chris has many years experience as a specialist in both residential and commercial property law. Chris studied at Cardiff University before going to study the Legal Practice Course at College of Law in Chester. He then worked for a Manchester and Liverpool based Legal 500 firm and the Legal Services Commission before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008 with a Chester private practice. Christopher joined Mortimers from the commercial department of a well respected North Staffordshire private practice to utilise his knowledge of commercial and residential property matters to advise clients from our Shrewsbury office. Loretta Aston
Loretta qualified as a solicitor in March 2005, following a successful career in estate agency. Hannah joined our Private Client team having gained significant experience and expertise at a leading practice in Birmingham where she worked for 12 years.
