A Shropshire Family Law expert is setting up free advice clinics to help guide people through matrimonial and care issues. Jackie Meredith, who this month joined the Shrewsbury branch of Mortimers Solicitors, will be holding four free clinics starting on Saturday, February 11. “I am inviting people to come along for a 20-minute advice session which will give them an opportunity to raise issues and concerns, find out about costs, procedures and everything they might expect to encounter,” said Mrs Meredith. “I will be able to advise them on any problems they may be facing with matrimonial issues, children, care proceedings, financial matters and domestic violence. “These are often sensitive and upsetting areas for people to talk about so I am hoping to give some reassurance and sound advice. “We are here to help and we hope that the clinics will be beneficial to those who do not know how to proceed if they have problems.” Mrs Meredith works from Mortimers’ new Shrewsbury office in Windsor Place having recently joined the firm’s growing Family Law department after spending many years working for a Telford-based practice. She specialises in all aspects of family-related issues and is a member of several accredited panels across the family law spectrum. Anyone interested in visiting the advice clinic on February 11, which will operate between 9.30am and 12.30am, can contact Mrs Meredith on 01743 298629. The dates of the other free clinics are March 24, April 21 and May 26. |
