One of our senior solicitors said that she was delighted to have been given an official commendation for outstanding legal practice.

Karen Brake, a family law expert and partner with Mortimers, received a certificate from the Good Lawyer Guide, the independent guide to solicitors in England and Wales.

Karen, who heads the family department and is based at Mortimers’ Ludlow office, said today: “To have been recognised as an outstanding legal practitioner is very pleasing.

“I am delighted because it is a completely independent guide and I had no knowledge that I was going to be given this accolade.”

Karen is a member of the both the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and also Resolution, an organisation which is committed to the resolution of family disputes through a non-confrontational approach and acts in the best interests of the whole family, especially children.

She is also a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and specialises in representing children and guardians in both care proceedings and private contact and residence cases.
